Cultures through Fiction Five choices (for example various version of Cinderella) will be distributed through the library. In groups they will rotate through each station receiving a chance to share in the various cultural stories. *Databases- Culture Grams perfect for this project so it deserves its own lesson *Online Databases and Encyclopedias- World Book Online, Grolier Online and SIRS Database *Webpath Express vs. Google- Web sites that are perfect for third grade What are search engine? A brief introduction to a few kid friendly search engines(kids.yahoo.com, kidspace@internet public library,etc) Photos to use- Where to find great Photos for your posters (Picsearch, Google images etc) and how to download and store them

Use a class wiki to collect and share information, graphics to demonstrate understandings of their questions about culture.
How to resize Photos Students (who are photojournalist) will be introduced to tools for resizing large images for project presentation. Simple photo editing will be demonstrated.
Creating a presentation for assessment (To present information and knowledge gained from the unit, students can select from tech tools appropriate to their level ( Inspiration poster, Power Point Slides, Photo Story, Wikis, Voice thread, etc.)
